Federal Skilled Worker applications are assessed based on an applicant's ability to become economically established upon immigration to Canada.

This immigration stream is for foreign nationals who have extensive work experience in skilled jobs outside Canada, and have great potential to adapt and succeed in Canada.

 

Eligibility is mainly determined based on:

 

  • Age

  • Language

  • Education

  • Work Experience (length and occupation)

  • Adaptability (some relatives in Canada)

  • Arranged Employment in Canada
